If you have come to this page, it’s presumably because you want to know who is behind Interesting Plants. Well, the answer to that question is Paddock Plants. Still none the wiser? OK then, Paddock Plants is a family run nursery based near Southampton in Hampshire growing and retailing an eclectic range of plants – perennials, shrubs, ferns, grasses and climbers – all grown peat-free and without using lots of chemicals. We have a penchant for the odd and unusual and like to keep abreast of new introductions, often offering plants that are new to the UK market.
To be really precise, we are Rob and Joanna (Joanna being the sole proprietor of Paddock Plants and Rob the one does all the hard work, or so he says), with a bit of help from Joanna’s mum, Deb, who is usually to be seen at shows and fairs, generally accompanied by her Jack Russell Penny. We have been in business since 2003 and have grown significantly in the years since then – if you are interested in the full story, you can read it here.
If you are interested in taking a closer look at what we offer, you can visit the Paddock Plants website, or, if you are within travelling distance of Southampton, come and see our plants displayed in our small but perfectly formed sales and display area. You will be most welcome (with a lot of the welcome coming from our French Briard Danny Boy).
